GREENSBORO, N.C. – The St. Olaf College baseball team secured the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year, as announced on Wednesday.

St. Olaf was one of over 800 member college and high school programs across the country that earned the award, which is given to programs that post a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the academic year.

In its 30th season under head coach Matt McDonald, St. Olaf compiled a team GPA of 3.50 in 2023-24, marking the program's highest GPA over its string of five ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards in a row, surpassing the previous high of 3.40 from 2022-23.
