GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the sixth season in a row, the St. Olaf College baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced on Wednesday.

Matt McDonald's program extended its streak of ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards to six after posting a 3.57 grade-point average (GPA) as a team during the 2024-25 academic year. That mark is the program's highest collective GPA during the string of six accolades in a row.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award honors programs that record a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, a feat accomplished by nearly 750 member high school and college programs nationwide.
