NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams combined to win 25-of-30 events on their way to sweeping Hamline University in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) dual meets on Saturday at Skoglund Natatorium.
The St. Olaf women won 13-of-15 events to defeat the Pipers by a 209-51 score, while the men won 12-of-15 events in a 177-59 victory. With the wins, the Ole women moved to 3-1 on the season in MIAC duals, while the men got their first victory to improve to 1-2.
Sophomore
Katie Homme led the way for the St. Olaf women with three first-place finishes, winning the 50-yard freestyle (25.21), 100-yard backstroke (1:01.76), and 100-yard individual medley (1:02.79). First year
Erica Johnson won both sessions of the one-meter diving with scores of 162.45 and 197.00, respectively.

Travis Elling posted a trio of first-place performances for the St. Olaf men, touching the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.38), 100-yard freestyle (51.08), and 50-yard butterfly (26.10). Senior
Avery Nevins claimed the event titles in the 50-yard backstroke (26.71) and 100-yard backstroke (57.21), while first year
Daniel Cameron won both the 100-yard butterfly (55.67) and 500-yard freestyle (5:23.24).

Dobbin Chong, and sophomore
Jack Homme all recorded first-place finishes individually as well, with Hauck and Chong also swimming on St. Olaf's two first-place relays.
In its second of two home dual meets this season, St. Olaf will host Macalester College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 on Senior Day at Skoglund Natatorium.
