BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Junior
Molly Terebayza of the St. Olaf College women's hockey team was selected as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after her playoff-clinching hat trick on Saturday.
Terebayza landed the first MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of her career after tallying her third collegiate hat trick in Saturday's 3-0 win at Bethel University that clinched the No. 5 seed in the playoffs for the Oles. The junior scored the game-winner at 11:41 of the second period before adding a pair of goals in the third period of the victory that locked up the team's spot in the five-team playoffs.
Monday's announcement made Terebayza St. Olaf's first MIAC Women's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week this season, joining three Oles who have been named the MIAC Women's Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.
As the No. 5 seed, St. Olaf will head to No. 4 seed Saint Mary's University in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at SMU Ice Arena in Winona. Tickets for the game must be purchased online through
