LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior catcher Medora Rylee of the St. Olaf College softball team was selected as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-Region IX honoree, as announced on Friday afternoon.

A third-team pick as a sophomore, Rylee earned the second NFCA All-Region accolade of her career as one of 12 honorees on the second team. Friday's announcement made Rylee the fourth student-athlete in program history to land at least two all-region accolades during their career. St. Olaf has had at least one all-region selection in seven of the last eight seasons.

Rylee put together a standout senior season that saw her hit .449 (44-for-98) with 17 doubles, two triples, 21 walks, 19 RBI, and 25 runs scored while starting all 40 of St. Olaf's games. The senior got on base at a .549 clip and slugged .663 while setting single-season program records in batting average and on-base percentage.

Rylee's totals this season also ranked in the top 10 in a season in program annals in doubles (t-2nd), slugging percentage (4th), walks (t-6th), and runners caught stealing (t-10th, 10). She concluded her career as St. Olaf's all-time leader in career batting average (.384) and on-base percentage (.464), while ranking tied for fifth in walks (51), seventh in doubles (33), and eighth in slugging percentage (.513).

Along with the rest of the honorees, Rylee will be under consideration for the three NFCA Division III All-America teams, which will be announced on May 28.
