NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The regionally-ranked St. Olaf College women's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to six games (5-0-1) with a 2-0 Senior Day victory over Macalester College on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field.
Junior
Roxanne Rundle scored inside the first three minutes and classmate
Emily Johnson added a goal early in the second half to send St. Olaf (6-1-1, 1-0-1 MIAC) to the shutout win over Macalester (3-4-0, 1-2-0 MIAC). The Oles were ranked No. 6 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Region IX Poll.

Rundle got the Oles out to an early lead in the third minute by heading the ball in at the back post after sophomore
Avery Sames worked the ball to Klagge on the left and Klagge swung in a cross that eluded the Macalester goalkeeper. The goal was Rundle's second of the season, while Klagge earned her team-leading sixth assist and Sames her second.
The score remained 1-0 all the way until the 57th minute when Johnson latched onto a pass from Timmerman before picking out the top-left corner from the left side of the box for her MIAC-leading ninth goal of the season. Johnson has scored in each of the last four games and has seven goals in that span.
The two teams combined for just five shots on goal in the game, with St. Olaf accounting for four of the five. First year
Charlotte Percy had just one save to make for the Oles in claiming her third shutout of the season.
In its final non-conference game of the regular season, St. Olaf will visit UW-Stout for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
