Men's soccer climbs back to No. 2 in United Soccer Coaches poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The St. Olaf College men's soccer team climbed one spot to No. 2 in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Rankings, as released on Tuesday afternoon.

St. Olaf (15-0-3) returned the No. 2 spot after picking up Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) wins over No. 22-ranked Saint John's University and Bethel University last week. The Oles jumped ahead of Rowan University, which slide to No. 6 after suffering its first loss of the season during the week.

Head coach Justin Oliver's team has been ranked in the top three of the poll all season, including a three-week stint at No. 1, and has been in the top five in each of the last 13 polls. St. Olaf has locked up a top-two seed in the MIAC Playoffs and can clinch the regular-season title outright with a win on Saturday or by Gustavus Adolphus College dropping points against Carleton College.

The Oles will conclude the regular season at Hamline University at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.
