KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The St. Olaf College men's soccer team was ranked No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Preseason Poll, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Coming off a run to the national semifinals last fall, St. Olaf checked in at No. 3 for the second-highest preseason national ranking in program history, trailing only the No. 1 ranking to open 2024 following the 2023 national title. The entire top 25 in the preseason poll remained in the same spots from the final poll of the 2025 season.

Under head coach Justin Oliver, St. Olaf finished 20-3-3 overall last season and won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) regular-season title for the fourth time in the last five seasons. After falling in the MIAC Playoff title game, the Oles advanced to the national semifinals with four consecutive home victories before bowing out by a 2-1 margin to No. 1-ranked and eventual national champion Tufts University.

St. Olaf has been ranked in 53 United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Polls all-time, with 26 of those coming since the start of the 2021 season. The No. 3 ranking is tied for the third-highest ranking for the Oles, following only the two No. 1 rankings to end 2023 and start 2024.
