BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior Michaela Dooley of the No. 21-ranked St. Olaf College volleyball team was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Dooley secured the first MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of her career and became the first Ole to land one of the two weekly awards this season after recording 68 digs (4.86 per set), 13 assists, and three aces in St. Olaf's four matches at the Mabel Lee Invite over the weekend.
 
The senior was in double figures for digs in all four matches, including tallying 25 on Friday against the University of Dubuque. Dooley was also aced just once in 49 reception attempts.
 
St. Olaf will begin MIAC play with a trip across town to face Carleton College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
