BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior
Emily Johnson of the St. Olaf College women's soccer team was honored as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Johnson received the first MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of her career after scoring five goals in St. Olaf's 2-0-1 start to the season. After scoring twice in a 3-0 win at UW-Superior on Friday, Johnson netted a hat trick in Sunday's 5-2 home victory over the University of Dubuque.
The five-goal week moved Johnson into a tie for third place in program history with 34 goals and 77 career points.
The Oles will play their next three games on the road, starting with a trip to Luther College for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
