Tyler Keith, M.Ed., LAT, ATC
Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine

Keith is in in his eighth year with St. Olaf Sports Medicine in 2025-26 and was named the assistant athletic director for sports medicine in July 2025. He was hired as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2018 and was promoted to co-director of sports medicine/associate athletic trainer in 2019. He primarily works with men's and women's soccer, men's basketball, men's and women's alpine skiing, and softball.
 
Education: A Sutton, Mass. native, Keith earned his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Ithaca College in 2016. He earned his Post-Professional Master’s degree athletic training and kinesiology at the University of Virginia. He completed his research thesis, titled, “Subjective and Objective Functional Test Measures in Athletes with a History of Ankle Sprain,” and systematic review titled, “The Effects of Orthotics on Pain and Function in Patients Presenting with Plantar Fasciitis - A Systematic Review.”
 
Professional-Related Experience: Prior to St. Olaf College, Tyler served as the head athletic trainer at Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Va.  He also served as a physical therapist extender and outreach athletic trainer at PT@ACAC in Charlottesville, Va.
 
While at Ithaca College, his clinical rotations included Cornell men’s hockey, as well as Ithaca College baseball, volleyball, women’s soccer, and football.

Keith spent time at West Point Military Academy in 2015 as a research aid, primarily collecting baseline concussion data on cadets.

Professional Presentations: Keith has presented an oral presentation on his Master’s Research during the 2018 National Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Convention in New Orleans.  He also presented a poster presentation titled, “Postural Control Strategies are Dependent on Reach Direction in the Star Excursion Balance Test,” during the 2016 Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Convention in Boston

Professional Certifications and Memberships: Keith is certified as an athletic trainer by the BOC. He is also a Certified Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association (GLATA), Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association (MATA), and College Athletic Trainers Society (CATS).

Honors / Awards / Scholarships: Keith is a member of the McCue Society. While at Ithaca College, Keith was a Whalen Symposium Award Recipient.

Erin Garry MS, LAT, ATC
Assistant Athletic Trainer


Garry is in her sixth year as an assistant athletic trainer at St. Olaf in 2025-26 after joining the sports medicine staff in July 2020. She primarily works with volleyball, men's and women's tennis, women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and baseball.

Education: A Plymouth, Minnesota native, Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Winona State University in 2018. There, she completed research on the re-rupture rate of various surgical techniques on the Achilles tendon and presented this work at the 2018 Ramaley Research Celebration in Winona, Minn. Erin was the recipient of the Winona State Athletic Training Program Alumni Scholarship in 2018

Erin earned her Master of Science degree in Education at Southwest Minnesota State University. She explored an emphasis in Sports Leadership. She completed research with the softball team on the effects of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization on sprint time and range of motion.

Professional-Related Experience: Prior to St. Olaf College, Erin served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn. While at SMSU, her clinical rotations included volleyball, wheelchair basketball and softball. She also assisted with football. Erin served as a teaching assistant in the education department.

At Winona State University, Erin completed clinical rotations with the WSU football, track and field and softball teams. She also completed clinical rotations at Saint Mary’s University (Minn.) with the baseball and volleyball teams.

Professional Certifications and Memberships: Erin is a certified athletic trainer by the BOC and is a licensed athletic trainer through the Minnesota Department of Medical Practice. She is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association (GLATA), Minnesota Athletic Trainers’ Association (MATA).


Jordy Borman MS, LAT, ATC
Assistant Athletic Trainer


Jordy Borman is in his fourth year as an assistant athletic trainer at St. Olaf in 2025-26 after joining the sports medicine staff in July 2022. He primarily works with men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, men's hockey, and men's and women's Nordic skiing.

Education: An Eagan, Minnesota native, Borman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in athletic training from Central College in 2020. He earned his Master's degree in exercise science at Concordia University, St. Paul. He completed research on the effects of sleep quality on injury rates of college athletes.

Professional-Related Experience: Prior to St. Olaf College, Jordy served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Concordia University, St. Paul. While at CSP, he worked with the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams, as well as the women's swim and dive team. He also assisted with football.

At Central College, Jordy completed clinical rotations with the wrestling, baseball, track and field, and basketball teams.

Professional Certifications and Memberships: Jordy is a certified athletic trainer by the BOC and is a licensed athletic trainer through the Minnesota Department of Medical Practice. He is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross. Riley Mauzer MS, LAT, ATC
Assistant Athletic Trainer


Riley Mauzer '23 is in her first season as an assistant athletic trainer at St. Olaf in 2025-26 after being hired in July 2025. She primarily works with the men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track and field, women's hockey, and men's and women's golf programs.

Education: A Boulder Junction, Wisconsin native, Mauzer earned her Bachelor of Art in kinesiology from St. Olaf in 2023 and went on to receive her Master of Science in athletic training from Winona State in 2025. She was the recipient of the Winona State Athletic Training Alumni Scholarship in 2024 and completed research on accelerated vs. conservative rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction.

Professional-Related Experience: Prior to St. Olaf, Riley worked  as an immersion student at Marquette University for eight months, where she worked primarily with the men's soccer and women's basketball programs. Before that, she did clinical rotations with the Saint Mary's University women's soccer program, as well as the Winona State University football, track and field, and softball programs.

Scott Koehler, MD

Scott Koehler is a board-certified sports medicine physician with professional interests in athletic injuries, concussions, tendon and joint injections, ultrasound guided injections, and fluoroscopy guided injections.

Saul McBroom, MD
Team Physician

Saul McBroom is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine and sports medicine. His professional interests include type 1 & type 2 diabetes, concussions, and muscle, joint, and overuse injuries. He went to the University of Minnesota Medical School, completed his residency at North Memorial Medical Center, internship at North Memorial Medical Center, and fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. He has 10 years of experience and has memberships in American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
