Box Score NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint Mary's University defeated St. Olaf 3-0 in a MIAC men's hockey game on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena to complete a two-game series sweep.

SMU, leading 1-0 midway through the second period, killed two-minute 5-on-3 St. Olaf power play and scored 56 seconds later to make it 2-0. Chad Cesarz had a goal and an assist for the Cardinals, who have won five in a row.

The Oles killed the first five SMU power plays, and six of seven, before Cesarz scored at the 1:48 mark of the third.

St. Olaf will host Lawrence University on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Marian University on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Oles return to MIAC play on December 2 at home against Augsburg College.
