ResultsST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team competed at the Parents Day Open on Saturday afternoon.
Emma Fulton topped the competition in the unseeded pole vault finishing with a season best vault of 3.22 meters to top the next competitor by .15 meters.
The Oles had numerous other top ten finishes on the day. Â
Allison Trezona placed seventh in the 1000 meter run, cruizing to a season best time of 3:11.48. Â In the 400 meter dash,
Suzie Hoops led the Oles with a ninth place finish in 1:01.77. Â
Morghen Philippi and
Jamie Hoornaert each finished in the top 10 in the 5000, with places of fourth (18:12.4) and ninth (18:38.3) respectively. Â In the triple jump
Amanda Kaing finished ninth with a top jump of 9.82 meters.
Madison VanWylen and
Masha Grizhebovskaya finished seventh and eleventh in the 60 meter hurdles, excluding non-MIAC athletes, the pair finished third and seventh with times of 9.76 and 9.86 respectively. Â VanWylen also anchored the fifth place (4:07.92) 4x400 meter relay that also included
Abby Stets,
Hayli Marquette and Hoops.
A quick pair of sophomores led the Oles in the 200. Â Stets and
Lillie Meakim finished with one lap times of 27.22 and 27.59, which earned them places of T-14th and 21st overall. Â Marquette (43rd - 29.02) and
Maddie Tait (57th - 31.62) also competed in the 200.
Josephine Breke led a big group of Oles in the mile run running a time of 5:25.92 to finish eighteenth. Â Also competing in the mile for the Oles was
Maggie Weiss (31st - 5:51.00),
Siri Block (33rd - 5:51.66),
Madeleine Wagner-Sherer (39th - 6:04.24),
Rachel Hoober (41st - 6:11.22),
Rachael Bentley (45th - 6:39.95) and
Emily Dzurak (46th - 6:40.78).
The Oles return to Northfield for their next meet on Friday for the Ole Qualifier.
