ST. PAUL, Minn. - On Saturday afternoon the St. Olaf women's track and field team raced in the Meet of The Unsaintly, hosted by Hamline University.
The Oles had multiple top-ten finishes on the day, highlighted by
Abby Stets winning the 200 in a season best time of 25.55 and taking second in the 400 in another season best time of 57.03. Â
Lillie Meakim had a pair of top-ten finishes as well, finishing eighth in the 200 (27.17) and ninth in the 100 (13.10). Â
Anna Wall debuted in the 5000, running 20:35.80 to finish eighth,
Emma Fulton set a new season best of 3.25 meters in the pole vault, finishing 10th,
Katherine LeClaire was fifth in the shot put (8.53 meters) and
Kelsey Weed threw the javelin 32.30 meters to place sixth overall.
There was a strong middle distance field for St. Olaf, with
Jena Moody leading the way in the 800 in 2:26.69 and
Anna Holten,
Allison Trezona, and
Rose Doda finishing 20th through 22nd in 2:33.18, 2:33.75, and 2:34.38 respectively. Â In the 1500,
Katie Spray ran a season best by five seconds to finish 13th in 5:10.35. Â Rachael Hoober and Rachael Bently were 5:35.29 and 6:01.53 in the 1500.
Siri Block joined Wall in the 5000, with a 14th place run in 22:15.23, and
Katya Wendt vaulted 2.65 meters in the pole vault.
In the hammer throw, Â
Hannah Nordby and LeClair finished 13th and 15th with throwing distances of 38.10 and 30.99 meters respectively.
St. Olaf will travel to the University of Saint John's on Friday and Saturday to compete at the MIAC Championships.
