NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team hosted it's first home track meet of the year on Friday night at Tostrud Center.
The Oles had a individual victory from
Mackenzie Schoustra who won the 60 meter hurdles with a winning time of 9.51. Also making finals in the hurdles was
Masha Grizhebovskaya and
Lillie Meakim, who finished third and eighth respectively. Meakim also qualified for the 60 meter dash finals and 200 meter dash, taking sixth in both with times of 8.34 and 28.28.
Jessica Bentley won the 3000 meters, running the 15 lap race in 11:02.88. In the high jump, the Oles
Meg Andersen was the runner-up after clearing 1.52 meters.
The Oles had a fleet of athletes competing in the 800 meter run, taking places two through six.
Jordan Lutz was the top Ole finisher in second with a split of 2:21.63. Following her in order were
Mary Naas (3rd - 2:26.10),
Allison Trezona (4th - 2:27.49),
Josefine Brekke (5th - 2:27.96), and
Lisa Fisher (6th - 2:28.43). Naas, Brekke and Fisher also doubled in the mile, finishing in second, third and seventh respectively.
In the field events,
Avery Prine was fourth after clearing 2.83 on her vault, and
Kristen Diederichs was the third thrower in the shot put after a toss of 10.34 meters.
The Oles compete next at the Ted Nelson Classic on February 4th in Mankato.
