Schoustra fifth as Oles compete in Multis

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Mackenzie Schoustra finished fifth, Emily Bohlig 11th, and Sarah Bond 14th as the MIAC Championships kicked off with the Heptathlon at Carleton College on Thursday and Friday.

Schoustra grabbed the most points in the 100 meter hurdles where she finished in a time of 15.56 earning her 769 points.  Another top finish was the 200 meter dash, where Schoustra tallied 687 points in 27.30.  Bohlig threw 26.17 meters in the javelin to score 404 points, and ran 28.21 in the 200 meter dash for 614 points.  Bond snagged 510 points with the 800 meter run (2:45.62) and 495 in the 100 meter hurdles (17.94).

The event was won by Mikayla Forness of Concordia Moorhead with 4721 points.  Schoustra totaled 4096, Bohlig 3428, and Bond 2871 points.

The MIAC Championships continue next Friday at Hamline University.
