Abby Stets broke a minute with her victory in the 28-runner field of the 400-meter dash,
Mary Naas won the 3,000 and
Jordan Lutz was second in the 800 to lead the St. Olaf women's track and field team at the St. Thomas Showcase on Friday night.Â
Lutz ran a 2:16.25, which ranks as the top MIAC time this season. Lutz was edged out by Division I Minnesota's Paige Peschel (2:16.13).Â
Naas won the 3,000 in 10:33.04, which was over 13 seconds faster than her previous best this winter.
Stets' time is one of three that have broken a minute in the MIACÂ this season.Â
Bryony Hawgood finished seventh in the 5,000, and third among MIAC runners in the event.Â
Mackenzie Shoustra qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles, where she finished seventh.Â
Jessica Bentley had the Oles' best field event finish with a 12th-place effort in the shot put (11.58m).Â
