NORTHFIELD, Minn. – First year
Annika Muller posted event wins and top-10 marks in program history in the long jump and triple jump as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team topped Carleton College, 122-113, in a dual meet on Friday evening at Tostrud Center.
In the triple jump, Muller's mark of 10.46 meters (34' 4") put her seventh on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event, while her mark of 5.10 meters (16' 8.75") in the long jump is 10th on the list. Classmate
Rebekah Salfer followed Muller in second in the long jump with jump of 4.87 meters (15' 11.75").
Muller's two event wins highlighted a night that saw St. Olaf win nine events in the meet to outscore the Knights by nine points in the team standings.
Senior
Emily Bohlig won the high jump (1.60m, 5' 3") with the sixth-best mark on St. Olaf's all-time list, a mark that also ranks 20th in NCAA Division III this season.
First year
Ellie Pahl improved her third-place mark in program history in the shot put, winning the event with a throw of 12.65 meters (41' 6"). Bohlig (9.96m, 32' 8.25") and senior
Mackenzie Schoustra (9.62m, 31' 6.75") followed Pahl on the leaderboard, giving the Oles the top-three finishers in the event.
Junior
Katie Elstad's time of 27.48 seconds led the field in the 200 meters, while senior
Johanna Glaaser claimed the 800 meters in 2:25.67. Sophomore
Sarah Tarvestad also logged an event win in the weight throw (8.65m, 28' 4.5").
St. Olaf also accounted for a pair of first-place relays, including the 4x400-meter unit of first year
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney, Salfer, Schoustra and first year
Lauren Johnson that finished in 4:18.40.
St. Olaf hosts Bethel, Gustavus and St. Thomas in its second-straight home meet on Friday, Jan. 24. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and track events start at 4:30 p.m.
