Men's hockey reschedules Gustavus games

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's hockey team has rescheduled its postponed games against Gustavus Adolphus College for Tuesday, Jan. 18 and Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The Oles and Gusties will take to the ice in St. Peter for a 7 p.m. puck drop on Tuesday, Jan. 18 before playing a 7 p.m. contest at St. Olaf Ice Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Per Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) policy, the games will be designated as non-conference games.

The two teams were originally scheduled to play a home-and-home MIAC series on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 7-8, but those games were postponed due to COVID-19 cases in both programs. Conference policy states that conference games unable to be played due to COVID-19-impacted rosters will not be rescheduled to avoid compacting the schedule, though institutions have the autonomy to reschedule the games as non-conference contests.

St. Olaf has a pair of non-conference games on its schedule this weekend, as the Oles are slated to visit UW-River Falls on Friday, Jan. 14 at 7:05 p.m. and UW-Stout on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.
