LA CROSSE, Wis. – Nine members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the 10,000-meter run at the Phil Esten Challenge on Thursday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Competing in his hometown, first year
Andrew Skemp was the top finisher for the Oles in the meet, winning the third heat and placing 18th overall with a time of 31:22.44. The time put Skemp just four seconds outside of St. Olaf's top-10 list in the event.
Junior
Kevin Montresor and sophomore
David Lynn joined Skemp in the top 35, as Montresor was 25th (31:38.11) and Lynn was 32nd (31:57.22).
On the women's side, first year
Gracia Larsen-Schmidt placed 32nd (40:39.11) and junior
Seneca Norvell was 42nd (42:06.63).
The St. Olaf men and women are both in action at the Holst Invitational at Concordia University, St. Paul on Saturday, April 23 starting at 10 a.m.
