ST. PAUL, Minn. – Junior
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney posted the top pole vault clearance in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season to headline the St. Olaf College women's track and field team's performances at the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday at Macalester Stadium.
Pettitt-Kenney cleared 3.62 meters (11' 10 ½") on her first attempt to surpass the clearance of 3.60 meters (11' 9 ¾") by Macalester's Hannah Grosse at the UWRF Falcon Invitational on April 9 that previous stood as the top performance in the event in the conference this season. The junior also moved up from fourth to second on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event with the result.
Sophomore
Melanie Roberts joined Pettitt-Kenney in bettering her standing on the program's all-time list in the pole vault by clearing 3.17 meters (10' 4 ¾") to improve her eighth-best performance in program history.
Pettitt-Kenney's win in the pole vault was one of two first-place finishes on the day for St. Olaf, which earned 135 points in the team standings to edge Hamline by one point for the team title. Sophomore
Aleah Keske added a win in the shot put with a throw of 12.03 meters (39' 5 ¾") on her second throw.
The Oles also had four runner-up performances at the meet, including a pair of 2-3 finishes on the track. Sophomore

Erica Meyers finished second and third, respectively, in the 400-meter hurdles with time of 1:10.80 and 1:11.70, while senior
Samantha Posey and sophomore
Katie Gebert went 2-3 in the 800-meter run with times of 2:20.00 and 2:21.15.
Posey and Gebert's finish was part of a 2-3-4-5-6 showing for St. Olaf in the event. In addition to her win in the shot put, Keske added a second-place finish in the discus throw with a throw of 37.54 meters (123' 2"). Junior
Rebekah Salfer posted a second-place throw in the javelin throw with a mark of 29.82 meters (97' 10").
St. Olaf heads back to St. Paul for the Tommie Twilight on Wednesday, May 4 at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
