NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams won a combined 26 events to ease to victories over Hamline University in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) dual meet on Saturday at Skoglund Center Natatorium.
St. Olaf combined for 26 event victories, winning every event except the sessions of the one-meter diving and the men's 500-yard freestyle. The Ole women defeated the Pipers by a score of 225-57, while the men were victorious by a 182-45 margin.

Jaden Chant combined to win nine individual events for the St. Olaf men, while sophomore
Thomas McCarthy added an event victory of his own. Bloedow led the way by winning the 100-yard butterfly (54.99), 200-yard butterfly (2:04.26), and 200-yard individual medley (2:13.18).
Rizzo was the first to touch the wall in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.92) and 200-yard backstroke (2:01.53), Hauck claimed the 100-yard backstroke (54.09) and 100-yard freestyle (50.17), and Chant won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.01) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.35). McCarthy picked up a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (22.83).
St. Olaf also had first-place finishes in both relays, as Hauck, Chant, and Rizzo swam on both the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:40.51) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:21.93).
On the women's side, 10 Oles won at least one individual event, led by two wins apiece for sophomore
Ellen Varley and senior
Allison Purdum. Varley was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle (25.84) and 100-yard freestyle (56.19), while Purdum touched the wall first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.29) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.48).

Tatum Hauck, Purdum, Cleven, and Varley made up St. Olaf's winning relays in the 200-yard medley relay (1:53.53) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:47.83).
St. Olaf hosts Macalester College in another MIAC dual on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m.
