NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The No. 11-ranked St. Olaf College men's cross country team had the top-six finishers on its way to a first-place finish at the AECMR on Thursday evening at its home course in its final meet before the NCAA Division III North Region Championships.
In addition to having the first six runners to cross the finish line in the five-kilometer race, St. Olaf accounted for 14 of the top-20 individuals in the meet, which was a final race of the season for the teams' runners who will not compete at the regional meet. The Oles posted a perfect team score of 15 to finish atop the team standings ahead of Macalester College (52) and Bethel University (72).

Gabe Estrada was the top individual finisher in 15:57.7, finishing over 12 seconds ahead of junior
Jackson Marsh, who was the runner-up in 16:10.5. First year
Wesley Sumner was just over two seconds behind Marsh in third place in 16:12.8.
First year
Christian Fells and sophomore
Parker Max were separated by less than a second in fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 16:27.0 and 16:27.8, while first year
Grant Crespi rounded out the top-six sweep in sixth in 16:37.2.
St. Olaf will head to Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. for the NCAA Division III North Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
