ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senior
Annika Muller earned her third all-conference accolade in the triple jump to lead the St. Olaf College women's track and field team's performances on the first full day of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at the Leonard Center.
Muller took third in the triple jump for the lone All-MIAC performance of the day for St. Olaf, which registered 10 Honorable Mention All-MIAC results on the day. The Oles compiled 61.5 points in the team standings to sit in fourth place, trailing Bethel University (71), Carleton College (66.5), and the College of Saint Benedict (62).
Muller, the 2020 conference champion and the 2022 runner-up in the event, placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.62 meters (38' 1 ½") by breaking her own school record of 11.48 meters (37' 8") established earlier this season. The senior finished just one centimeter behind Journey Amundson of Macalester College and eight centimeters behind Ellie Hernes of Bethel University, who won the event on her final jump. Junior
Ainslee Parker also scored in the event with a seventh-place finish of 10.65 meters (34' 11 ¼").
Four Oles scored in the one-mile run, as St. Olaf swept the three Honorable Mention All-MIAC spots behind a 4-5-6 finish from senior
Christine Albrecht, sophomore
Sophie Abernethy, and first year
Grace Moeller. Albrecht was fourth (5:09.22), Abernethy took fifth (5:16.71), and Moeller crossed the line in sixth (5:18.89), while first year
Molly Kate McCloskey was eighth (5:37.12).
St. Olaf also had three scorers in the 5,000-meter run, including honorable mention showings from sophomores

Alison Bode, who were part of a group of top-five finishers who all broke the previous championship record. Carlson posted a fourth-place finish (17:12.02), followed closely by Bode in fifth (17:13.20), while first year
Lauren Walda was two spots back of Bode in seventh (17:57.40). Bode's time moved her up from third to second – behind only Carlson – on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event.
