ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's track and field team posted 13 top-10 individual finishes in its first outdoor meet of the season at the unscored Tomcat Invitational on Friday at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
Senior
Christine Albrecht recorded St. Olaf's top finish of the meet with a third-place performance in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:40.46, which ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and 29th in NCAA Division III. The result was one of four top-five performances for the Oles at the meet.
First year
Lauren Walda broke onto St. Olaf's all-time top-10 list in the 5,000-meter run by placing fourth in 17:45.27, which ranks 10th in program history, fourth in the MIAC, and 39th in the country. Senior
Rebekah Salfer added top-five finishes in both of the hurdle events, taking fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.46) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:06.30). Salfer's time in the 100-meter hurdles moved her up from seventh to sixth on St. Olaf's all-time list and both times rank in the top three in the conference this spring.
Junior
Karla Kroschel was responsible for a pair of top-10 finishes for the Oles, tying for sixth in the 200-meter dash (26.80) and taking eighth in the 400-meter dash (1:00.94). Junior
Aleah Keske logged the MIAC's third-best mark in the shot put with a throw of 11.96 meters (39' 3") to finish sixth.
Sophomore

Ella Landis all joined Albrecht in the top 10 in the 1,500-meter run, with Carlson in seventh (4:47.75), Landis in ninth (4:49.88), and Bode in 10th (4:49.90). Other top-10 performances came from sophomore
Jules Fromm in the 800-meter run (ninth, 2:22.54), senior
Julia Cordes in the pole vault (10th, 2.77m, 9' 1"), and junior
Ainslee Parker in the long jump (10th, 4.87m, 15' 11 ¾").
St. Olaf will send a few competitors to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. from Thursday through Saturday, April 13-15, while most of the team will compete at the Bethel Invitational on Saturday, April 15.
