ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams both dropped their Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) duals at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday at Vic Gustafson Pool.

Nick Starcevich picked up event victories for the men's team in a 212-74 loss.
Small swept the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke titles with times of 59.44 and 2:10.95, with the 59.44 time ranking first in the MIAC this season. Homme posted the conference's top time in the 100-yard freestyle (54.72) and the second-fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle (5:19.61) while placing first in both events. Hultgren swept the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly events with times of 1:01.05 and 2:14.62.
Starcevich swam the top time in the conference so far in the 50-yard freestyle (21.72) and was the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle (49.01). Elling won the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.97) and Hauck added a win in the 100-yard backstroke (54.51).
St. Olaf will compete next at the Rochester Invitational (Dec. 5-7) and the Macalester Invitational (Dec. 6-7).
