Gaulmin and Morgan eligible for Friday's MLS SuperDraft 2025

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Former St. Olaf College men's soccer standouts Victor Gaulmin '24 and Hakeem Morgan '24 were among the list of eligible players for the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft 2025, as released on Wednesday.

After spending the 2024 seasons with NCAA Division I programs, Gaulmin and Morgan were included on the list of 477 players from 150 different schools released by the MLS ahead of the draft, which will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. CST. Full coverage of the SuperDraft can be found on MLSsoccer.com and the MLS social handles. The full list is subject to change.

This fall, Gaulmin played for the University of Akron in his final season of collegiate eligibility, recording 19 points on five goals and nine assists while playing in all 21 of the Zips' games and starting 19 times. The Frenchman tied for the team lead with nine assists, was second in points, and tied for second in goals. Gaulmin's play heled Akron to its first-ever BIG EAST regular-season title and a run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as the Zips finished 12-5-4 overall and 7-0-1 in conference play.

The lone three-time All-American in program history, Gaulmin was a two-time United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American (2021, 2023) and a United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American (2022) at St. Olaf. A three-time United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region IX honoree and three-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) selection, Gaulmin was also the 2023 MIAC Offensive Player of the Year and the 2021 MIAC Midfielder of the Year. In just three seasons, Gaulmin wrapped up his career second in program history in points (95), second in goals (36), tied for fourth in assists (23), fifth in shots (192), fifth in game started (69), and ninth in shots on goal (78). His 95 points and 36 goals were just one shy of the all-time program records at the end of his career.

Morgan used his final season of eligibility to play at Loyola Marymount University and started all 17 games for the Lions while tallying two goals. The Costa Rican led the team with 26 shots and 12 shots on goal and was tied for second on the team in goals. Loyola Marymount finished the season 6-8-3 overall and 3-4-1 in the West Coast Conference.

Morgan was a two-time All-American and All-Region IX honoree at St. Olaf, racking up 31 goals, 23 assists, 85 points, 235 shots, 114 shots on goal, and 11 game-winning goals in 60 games as an Ole. At the end of his time on the Hill, Morgan ranked second in program history in shots and shots on goal, tied for second in game-winning goals, tied for fourth in assists, and tied for fifth in point goals and points. He was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American in 2021 after compiling 39 points on 15 goals and nine assists in 22 games.

Over their careers, Gaulmin and Morgan helped St. Olaf to an overall record of 54-11-6 and a MIAC record of 25-2-3 while leading the Oles to two MIAC regular-season titles, two MIAC Playoff championships, and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2023 national title and back-to-back "Sweet 16" runs in the prior two seasons. Gaulmin and Morgan were both named to the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team after playing important roles in the Oles' first national title.
