Oles hold steady in USTFCCCA national polls ahead of regional race

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's cross country teams held steady at No. 11 and No. 23, respectively, in this week's announcement of the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Polls by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.

After not competing last weekend, the St. Olaf men remained at No. 11 and the women stayed at No. 23 in the national poll ahead of a big weekend of regional competition. Including this week's polls, the Ole men have now been ranked in 62 consecutive USTFCCCA national polls, while the women have been ranked in 44 in a row going back to the start of 2021.

Both teams will run in the Blugold Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3, with race times moved up to the morning due to the unseasonably warm weather. The men's varsity race will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's varsity race (10:15 a.m.), men's open race (11 a.m.), and the women's open race (11:45 a.m.). The men's race will include six nationally-ranked teams, while the women's will feature four.
