No changes for Oles in national cross country polls

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's cross country teams maintained their positions in the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Polls, as the latest rankings were published on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

St. Olaf held down the No. 22 spot in the men's poll and the No. 26 spot in the women's poll after not racing last week. This week's polls marked the 64th men's poll and the 46th women's poll in a row that the Oles have been in the national rankings.

This week, St. Olaf remained the lone Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) program to be ranked in the men's poll and was one of two in the women's poll, along with No. 9 Carleton College.

This weekend, the Oles will send their top contingents of runners to Waterford, Conn. for the Connecticut College Invitational, which will include 16 nationally-ranked women's teams and 12 nationally-ranked men's teams, on Saturday, Oct. 18. The rest of the teams will run at home at the Haunted Hustle on the Hill on Saturday.
