BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior
Kevin Turlington of the nationally-ranked St. Olaf College men's cross country team earned Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in his career on Tuesday.
Turlington claimed the second MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of his decorated career after posting a top-three time in program history at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday. The senior was previously named the MIAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 1, 2025.
In a field that included 12 nationally-ranked teams, Turlington placed third overall in 24:07.5 for the No. 22-ranked Oles in Waterford, Conn. The senior's time is the third-fastest on St. Olaf's all-time list and his top-four finish was his fourth in as many races this season.
Turlington will look to lead St. Olaf to its fourth consecutive conference title at the MIAC Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Highland Golf Course in St. Paul. The men's 8K is set for an 11 a.m. start.
