EDINA, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's golf wrapped up a seventh-place finish at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Golf Championships on the final day of the three-day event on Monday at Braemar Golf Course.
Highlighted by a hole-in-one by sophomore
Anneliese Carlson, St. Olaf posted its top round as a team over the three-day tournament with a 326 (+42). The Oles finished the event with a three-day team score of 996 (+136) to finish seventh in the 10-team standings.
First year
Annika Searles matched her low round of the season with a five-over 77 for St. Olaf's low score of the final round, which included a one-over 37 with two birdies on the front nine. Searles was the Oles' top finisher for the tournament in a tie for 21st(245, +29). Her final-round 77 was five shots better than her first round and nine better than her second round.
Carlson aced the 151-yard 13th hole as part of a final-round 81 (+9) that was her low round of the tournament. The sophomore ended up tied for 27th overall (250, +34). Carlson's 27 pars over the three days ranked tied for second in the field.
Senior
Belle Mae Williams had a team-high three birdies on Monday as part of an 82 (+10) to close the tournament in a tie for 34th along with junior
Ella Wright (256, +40), who shot a final-round 91 (+19). Junior
Marit Lyle closed out the event in 39th (268, +52).
