HASTINGS, Minn. – The St. Olaf College women's golf team tied for fifth in the 12-team field at the Gustie Spring Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Emerald Greens Golf Course.
Playing in windy conditions both days, and rain on Saturday, St. Olaf compiled a team score of 666 (+90) to tie for fifth with Bethel University after rounds of 339 (+51) and 327 (+39). As a team, the Oles led the field in par-three scoring for the weekend with a score of +18.

Anneliese Carlson and sophomore
Addison Powers were both in the top 15 individually, led by Carlson's 11th-place finish (161, +17). Carlson paced the field in par-five scoring (-2) and tied for seventh in birdies (3) while carding rounds of 83 (+11) and 78 (+6).
Powers led the field in par-three scoring (E) and was tied for second in birdies (4) while finishing 14th (163, +19). The first year carded all four of her birdies in a season-low 78 (+6) on Sunday.
First year
Annika Searles posted St. Olaf's third-best score of the tournament with a 169 (+25) to tie for 24th, while junior
Ella Wright tied for 35th (171, +27) competing as an individual.
St. Olaf will be back in action in two weeks by co-hosting the Northfield Open with Carleton College on Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26 at Willingers Golf Club and Legacy Golf.
