INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The St. Olaf College volleyball team earned an at-large bids into the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship and will face the University of Northwestern-St. Paul in the opening round in Bloomington, Ill. on Thursday.
St. Olaf (26-8) was one of 21 at-large qualifiers into the field of 64 teams revealed on the NCAA selection show, earning its spot into the field for the 13th time in program history (1993-98, 2000, 2002, 2009-10, 2019, 2023, 2025) after winning the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) regular-season title for the first time since 2010. The Oles will match up with Northwestern (23-7) in the third match of the day at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.
The rest of the schedule for day one of the eight-team regional will be: UW-Whitewater (25-7) vs. Coe College (21-9) at 11:30 a.m., Calvin University (25-3) vs. Hanover College (21-10) at 2 p.m., and Illinois Wesleyan (26-2) vs. Asbury University (22-7) at 7 p.m. Match times on Friday, Nov. 21 are 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the regional championship match is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22.
