Kobe Kirk and sophomore
Elise Hahn of the St. Olaf College men's and women's basketball teams were both honored among this week's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Athletes of the Week on Monday.
Kirk was named the MIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career, while Hahn was honored as the MIAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Kirk scored a season-high 27 points to lead St. Olaf to a 77-69 win at Saint John's University on Wednesday evening in its lone game last week. The senior shot 9-for-19 from the field, 4-for-8 from three-point range, and 5-for-6 at the charity stripe to lead the Oles to their first win in Collegeville since 2014.
Hahn averaged 16.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 3.0 steals per game while posting double-doubles in both of St. Olaf's games last week. The sophomore had 16 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in Tuesday's win over Crown College before matching her career-high totals in rebounds (17) and blocks (5) while adding three more steals in Saturday's road loss to Augsburg University.
