MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams began the 2025 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Swimming & Diving Championships with a pair of relays on Friday evening at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
The women's 200-yard medley relay claimed All-MIAC honors with a third-place performance to highlight the opening night of the four-day meet for St. Olaf. Through five events, the St. Olaf women are in third place with 62 points, while the men are in sixth with 58 points. The Ole women are 12 points behind co-leaders Gustavus Adolphus College and Macalester College.

Katie Homme landed all-conference honors with their third-place showing in the 200-yard medley relay after knocking two seconds off their seed time in 1:46.37. Homme and Sylvester were also on the Oles' fourth-place 800-yard freestyle relay (7:50.22) that improved by nearly 13 seconds from its seed time to land Honorable Mention All-MIAC honors. Junior

William Wallace picked up Honorable Mention All-MIAC honors in the 200-yard medley relay with a fourth-place result (1:33.25), shaving over three seconds off their seed time in the process. Junior

Dobbin Chong bettered their seed time by over nine seconds with a fifth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:08.45).
The first full day of the MIAC Championships gets going with a prelims session at 10:30 a.m. followed by a finals session at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20.
