GREENWOOD, Ind. – Eight members of the St. Olaf College men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned spots on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, as announced on Tuesday.
Junior
Zibby Hanifl, sophomore
Katie Homme, junior
Paige Steenblock, and sophomore
Samantha Sylvester represented the women's program on the list, while senior
Ben Gusdal, fifth-year senior
Marcus Hauck, sophomore
Jack Homme, and junior
Nick Starcevich did so for the men's team. Starcevich and Hauck were honored with the accolade for the second year in a row, while the other six Oles were first-time honorees.
The CSC Academic All-District ® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. To be eligible, nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, and must have competed in at least five meets or placed in the top eight of an event at their conference championship meet.
Katie Homme, Steenblock, and Starcevich advanced to the CSC Academic All-America ® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced on April 22 (women) and April 23 (men).
