Ignatius Fitzgerald of the St. Olaf College men's track and field team was selected as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Fitzgerald collected the second MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of his career after a strong showing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Phil Esten Challenge on Thursday evening. The junior was previously named the MIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 10, 2024.
