SAUK RAPIDS/MONTICELLO, Minn. – The St. Olaf College men's golf team finished 14th of 15 teams at the Saint John's Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Wapicada Golf Club and Monticello Country Club.
St. Olaf shot scores of 309 (+24) and 308 (+21) to compile a team score of 617 (+45) at the 36-hole event. Sophomore
Ryan Herbst led the way for the Oles with rounds of 79 (+7) and 71 (E) to tie for 34th while ranking tied for second in the field in par-three scoring (-1) for the weekend.
Junior
Ike Vessey recorded St. Olaf's second-best score of the weekend with a 154 (+11) to tie for 53rd. Junior
Jacob Brown carded a 158 (+15) to tie for 68th.
The Oles will conclude their spring by facing Carleton College in the annual Rusty Putter Match on Saturday, May 2 at Northfield Golf Club.
