Established in 1996,
Chi Alpha Sigma is a non-profit organization that recognizes college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition and is the first and only academic fraternity that specifically honors four-year collegiate student-athletes for their athletic and academic successes. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity intercollegiate level and meet the following criteria:
- Minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50
- Four full-time semesters or six full-time quarters of college coursework
- Exception for transfers who are in their final year of athletics eligibility
St. Olaf College established its chapter - the fifth in the state of Minnesota - in November 2021 and inducted its first class on Monday, April 18, 2022.
