ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team traveled to the University of St. Thomas to compete at the Tommie Twilight meet on Wednesday evening.
Michaela Bolden took top honors in the hammer throw with a throw of 43.91 meters,
Hannah Nordby and
Katherine LeClair also threw hammer, with distances of 32.55 and 25.65 meters respectively. Â LeClair also competed in the shot put, placing 14th with a toss of 7.97 meters. Â
Annika Johnson was active in the discus throw, hurling the disc 33.96 meters to place 14th.
Emma Fulton cleared 3.12 meters to put herself tied for seventh overall. Â
Anna Johnson valuted 2.67 meters.
On the track, the 4x400 relay consisting of
Abby Stets,
Abbey Schnaith,
Susan Hoops, and
Briana Paulsen took fifth overall in 4:10.61. Â Stets doubled back in the open 400 running 58.78 to place 4th. Â
Hayli Marquette was 1:04.56 in the 400. Â Hoops and Schnaith also doubled in the 800, notching fifth and seventh place in 2:19.26 and 2:21.76 respectively. Â
Jena Moody was close behind in 12th (2:26.37).
Kelsey Weed continued her strong first year season in the javelin throw, throwing 37.97 meters to place fourth.
The Oles had a pair of top-ten finishes in the 3000 meter steeplechase with
Rebecca Walton and
Mary Eide going fifth and eighth in 11:52.25 and 12:19.62. Â
The next meet for St. Olaf will be the MIAC heptathlon held at Carleton College on Thursday and Friday. Â The Oles will also be competing at the Meet of the Unsaintly on Friday and Saturday at Hamline University.
