NORTHFIELD, Minn. –
Paige Woldt broke a 28-year old indoor school record, marking a distance of 10.99m in the triple jump, as the St. Olaf College women's track & field team placed third at the Carleton Triangular at the Recreation Center on Friday evening.
The Oles tallied two first-place finishes, including Woldt in the triple jump and
Jena Hauch in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:04.58.
Mackenzie Schoustra posted a second-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles (8.97), followed by Woldt in third (9.17). Schoustra added another second-place finish for the Oles in the high jump (1.57m) and
Megan Grimes was fifth (1.42m). Another second-place finish came from
Kierra Carter in the long jump, marking a distance of 4.23m.
Ellen Mickelson finished third in the mile run with a time of 5:27.38 and
Meredith Moore finished in fifth (5:30.94) . The Oles posted another third-place finish from
Ann Jansen in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 28.2, and the St. Olaf 4x400 relay placed third with a time of 4:26.62.
In the shot put,
Kristen Diederichs picked up a fourth-place finish, tallying a distance of 9.90m, and Grimes followed in fifth (9.65m).
Lori Erlandson picked up a fifth-place finish in the 55-meter dash, recording a time of 8.35, and
Katie Murney finished fifth in the 3000-meter, as she slotted a time of 11:48.66.
St. Olaf finished with a team score of 65.0. Carleton (113.0) placed first, followed by Hamline (93.0) in second.
The Oles are back to action Friday, Jan. 25 as they host the Bethel-Gustavus-St. Thomas-St. Olaf Quadrangular in Tostrud Fieldhouse.
