NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior
Ellen Mickelson ran the fastest time in the 1,000-meter run in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team competed at the unscored St. Olaf Quad & Multi on Friday and Saturday at Tostrud Center.
Mickelson topped the six-runner field in the 1,000 meters with a time of 3:00.14, which ranks sixth in program history in addition to being the top time in the conference this season. The senior was part of a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Oles, as sophomores
Ali Seaton (3:03.97),
Katie Gebert (3:07.78), and
Bella Call (3:08.75) finished 2-3-4 with the second, third, and fourth-fastest times in the MIAC this season.
Mickelson was on of three event wins for St. Olaf in the meet. Junior
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney outjumped the field in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters (4' 11") to win the event. The clearance ranks fourth in the conference this season.
The Oles' were the lone team to enter a 4x200-meter relay unit, as sophomore

Ququ Holman logged a time of 1:51.75. The same quartet finished second in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:12.53.
Sophomore
Ainslee Parker was the runner-up in the triple jump with a jump of 10.77 meters (35' 4"), which ranks fifth in the MIAC this season and fifth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the event. Parker's jump was one of five performances that cracked the program's all-time top-10 list in the meet.
Sophomore
Peyton Irsfeld finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 12.26 meters (40' 2 ¾"), which ranks eighth in program history, while classmate
Aleah Keske was third at 11.90 meters (39' ½").
Pettitt-Kenney and
Melanie Roberts placed third and fourth, respectively, in the pole vault with both clearing 3.09 meters (10' 1 ½") to tie for seventh in program history in the event. The clearance also ranks sixth in the MIAC this season.
Junior
Clare Collins broke into St. Olaf's top-10 list in the 60-meter dash with a prelims time of 8.38 seconds before finishing third with a time of 8.40 seconds in the finals.
In Saturday's pentathlon, junior
Rebekah Salfer finished second with 2,838 points to post the second-highest score in the conference and 19th-best score in the country this season. Salfer won the 800-meter run in 2:35.19 to conclude the five-event competition.
St. Olaf heads to Minneapolis for the Gopher Classic on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m.
