BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior Tessa Anderson and junior Maddie Black of the St. Olaf College women's soccer team swept the weekly Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) awards, as announced on Monday afternoon.

Anderson was selected as the MIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Black collected MIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her collegiate career. Monday's announcement marked the first time this season that the two honorees came from the same program.

Anderson had two goals and two assists to lead St. Olaf to a pair of MIAC wins last week. The senior scored the eventual game-winning goal and had two assists in the Oles' 3-0 victory against Saint Mary's on Wednesday before scoring the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 win at Gustavus on Saturday.

All five of Anderson's goals and all five of her assists have come in St. Olaf's last seven games. In conference contests, the Albuquerque, N.M. product ranks tied for second in the MIAC in assists (4), tied for sixth in goals (4), and tied for fifth in points (12).

Black stopped all 12 shots she faced in the back-to-back shutout victories, making a career-high nine saves in the win over the Gusties after stopping three shots against the Cardinals. The junior has recorded shutout wins in each of her last three starts in net and ranks third among MIAC goalies in goals-against average (.736) and save percentage (.840) in conference play.

St. Olaf's next game is a home date with Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3:30 p.m. on Senior Day/Parents Weekend.
