ST. PAUL/NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Junior
Annika Muller moved up to second in program history in the long jump, as the St. Olaf College women's track and field team had five performances land on the program's all-time top-10 list at the Holst Invitational and Carleton Relays on Saturday.
Muller was the runner-up in the long jump and was the top finisher among NCAA Division III student-athletes with a mark of 5.52 meters (18' 1 ½"), trailing Minnesota State's Molly Kahl by less than two inches. In addition to moving the junior up the program's all-time list, the mark ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season.
Senior
Ellen Mickelson added a second runner-up finish for St. Olaf and was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:45.43, which ranks fifth in the conference currently.
Juniors
Teresa Pettitt-Kenney and
Julia Cordes both moved up the program's top-10 list in the pole vault in St. Paul, with Pettitt-Kenney rising to fourth after clearing 3.50 meters (11' 5 ¾") and Cordes moving up to seventh by clearing 3.20 meters (10' 6"). Pettitt-Kenney was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the meet and was third overall.
In the triple jump, sophomore
Ainslee Parker bettered her ninth-best standing in program history with a jump of 10.64 meters (34' 11"). Junior
Rebekah Salfer rose to eighth on St. Olaf's all-time list in the 100-meter hurdles with the MIAC's third-fastest time this season of 15.54 seconds. Senior
Erica Meyers added the conference's fourth-fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.35).
At Carleton, sophomore
Aleah Keske posted a pair of top-five finishes for the Oles, placing fourth in the shot put (11.98m, 39' 3 ¾") and fifth in the discus throw (36.32m, 119' 2").
St. Olaf has two meets on its schedule next week: the Drake Relays held Thursday through Saturday, April 28-30, in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational at Macalester on Saturday, April 30.
