NORTHFIELD, Minn./LA CROSSE, Wis. – Junior
Lucas Kramarczuk of the St. Olaf College men's track and field team positioned himself to qualify for the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 110-meter hurdles, as eight Oles were in action on day two of a pair of last chance meets on Thursday.
Kramarczuk was one of five Oles who traveled to La Crosse, Wis. to compete in the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier, while three of his teammates took part in day two of the decathlon at the Ole Last Chance Multi at home at Manitou Track.

After the start of the meet was delayed by 45 minutes due to weather, Kramarczuk broke his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles by clocking in at 14.41 seconds, which ranks No. 17 in the country this season, positioning him to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships when the qualifiers are announced on Friday. The top-20 declared student-athletes in each event are accepted into next week's national meet.
The junior's time was eight one-hundredths of a second faster than his previous school record of 14.49 seconds from his runner-up finish at last week's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Outdoor Championships.

Aengus White bettered his third-best mark in program history in the discus throw with a personal-best throw of 48.29 meters (158' 5") to place fourth in the 10-thrower field. First year
Trevor Christensen also competed in the event and was eighth (43.99m, 139' 2").
First year
Cade Feist placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.24 meters (46' 8 ¾") on his fifth attempt, while classmate
Dylan Arnold tied for 12th in the pole vault by clearing 4.41 meters (14' 5 ½").

In the final competition of his collegiate career, senior
Nick Edwards posted a personal-best score of 6,000 points – 93 more than his previous PR – to win the decathlon, finishing 39 points ahead of sophomore
Demetri Lord. Only three of the initial field of eight competitors completed the entire 10-event competition.
Lord entered the day in first place and stretched his lead in the first event of the day with a time of 15.82 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, but Edwards went on to post the top results of the day in the discus throw, javelin throw, and 1,500-meter run to finish atop the standings. Edwards recorded a PR of over three meters in the discus (39.13m), logged a PR in the pole vault (3.90m), and had a four-second PR in the 1,500-meter run (4:51.28) to conclude the competition.
Lord was second to Edwards in the discus throw (28.39m) and 1,500-meter run (4:55.24) and posted a personal-best throw of 38.99 meters in the javelin throw to wrap up his season. First year
Layton Borst recorded a PR of 38.88 meters in the javelin throw before having to withdraw from the competition prior to the 1,500-meter run due to a final exam.
