NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Junior
Lucas Kramarczuk broke his own school record in the 110-meter hurdles, as the St. Olaf College men's track and field team hosted Carleton College in the annual Rolex Classic on Tuesday afternoon at Manitou Track.
After setting the school record by clocking in at 14.64 seconds at the Holst Invitational on April 23, Kramarczuk broke that mark with a time of 14.55 seconds to win the event ahead of three teammates. The time ranks second in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season and 15th nationally.
Kramarczuk's first-place finish was one of seven event wins for St. Olaf in the meet, although Carleton won the meet by virtue of winning the 800-meter run, which was drawn as the event that would determine the team winner.
First year
Eh Ler Moo was the lone student-athlete on either team to win two individual events at the meet, claiming the 100-meter dash in 11.69 seconds and the long jump with a mark of 6.31 meters. Junior
Sean Souksavath added a win in the triple jump with a jump of 12.82 meters.
The Oles swept all three throwing events, getting first-place finishes from first year
Trevor Christensen in the shot put (13.25m), senior
Aengus White in the discus throw (45.33m), and first year
Cade Feist in the hammer throw (39.65m). Christensen was also the runner-up to White in the discus with a throw of 43.95 meters.
St. Olaf is right back in action at the Tommie Twilight on Wednesday, May 4 at the University of St. Thomas' O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
