NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The No. 14-ranked St. Olaf College women's cross country team had three of the top-four individual finishers on its way to winning the season-opening Ole 5K Opener on Friday evening at the St. Olaf Cross Country Course.
Senior
Alison Bode, junior
Grace Moeller, and senior
Sofia Carlson were all in the top four to lead the way for St. Olaf, which had 12 of the top-17 individuals in the race. The Oles recorded 26 points in the five-team standings to finish 19 points ahead of the second-place College of St. Scholastica and 41 points ahead of third-place Macalester College.
Bode was the first runner to cross the line and won the meet by nearly 17 seconds with a time of 19:02.9, with Moeller behind her in second in 19:19.6. Carlson was fourth overall in 19:28.6 to give the Oles three in the top four.

Arabella England also finished in the top 10 for St. Olaf, with McCloskey placing ninth in 20:13.3 and England coming in 10th in 20:20.3 McCloskey and England were part of a string of nine consecutive Oles to finish ninth through 17th and seven of the nine were separated by a little more then 17 seconds.
St. Olaf hosts its annual Alumni 5K Race on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.
