Women's soccer to host Saint Mary's in MIAC Playoff quarterfinals on Monday

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The third-seeded St. Olaf College women's soccer team will host sixth-seeded Saint Mary's University in the quarterfinals of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoffs on Monday afternoon.

After the most successful regular season in program history, St. Olaf (14-2-2, 8-1-2 MIAC) earned the No. 3 seed and the right to host Saint Mary's (10-5-3, 4-4-3 MIAC) in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m. at Rolf Mellby Field. The Oles were in the mix for the MIAC regular-season title until the final day of the regular season on Saturday.

Monday's other quarterfinal will see fifth-seeded Macalester College visit fourth-seeded Augsburg University in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff in Minneapolis. The lowest remaining seed will take on top-seeded St. Catherine University in the semifinals, while the higher seed will face second-seeded Carleton College on Thursday, Nov. 6. Kickoff times are tentatively set for 2 p.m.

Per MIAC policy, admission will be charged throughout the MIAC Playoffs and all tickets will be sold online through HomeTown Ticketing. There will be no cash sales at any venue, but tickets can be purchased at any time using a mobile device. Tickets are $12 (plus HTT service charge) for adults and $3 (plus HTT service charge) for students (with ID). Children ages five and under are admitted for free. MIAC passes are accepted for the MIAC Playoffs, but no other passes are valid.

This year, the MIAC is implementing a one-year pay-per-view trial for the live streams of the MIAC Playoffs for all team sports. All games will be streamed on the MIAC Sports Network and fans can purchase a single-game pass for $10 or a "championship pass" for $25 to stream the entire tournament. On-demand access to all playoff games will be available after the NCAA Tournament concludes.

The MIAC Sports Network Help Page provides guidance and links to help fans navigate the streaming platform. Hudl Customer Support is also available by email or 24/7 chat to assist with any issues. Live statistics will also be available throughout the tournament.

St. Olaf is in the MIAC Playoffs for the second season in a row and the eighth time (2004, 2012, 2024, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2024, 2025) since the advent of the tournament in 2003. The Oles are 2-7 all-time in their seven previous appearances but have won a game in each of their last two appearances.

Saint Mary's is making its fourth appearance in the MIAC Playoffs, all of which have come in the last five seasons (2021, 2022, 2024, 2025). The Cardinals are 3-3 overall in the tournament and made their deepest-ever run in the MIAC Playoffs last season, falling in the championship game to St. Kate's, 3-1, as the No. 3 seed.

Monday afternoon's game will be the second-ever meeting between St. Olaf and Saint Mary's in the MIAC Playoffs. In 2022, the fourth-seeded Oles edged the fifth-seeded Cardinals, 2-1, in the quarterfinals. St. Olaf won the regular-season meeting this year on Oct. 14 by a 2-0 score in Winona thanks to early goals from senior Marit Klagge and junior Emily Johnson.
