BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Sophomore
Nicholas Sewecke of the St. Olaf College men's hockey team was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Sewecke earned the second MIAC Athlete of the Week accolade of his career after posting a five-point weekend to help St. Olaf sweep Lake Forest College on the road. The sophomore was previously named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 3, 2025.
Sewecke had two goals and three assists over the weekend for St. Olaf. The sophomore scored a pair of third-period goals and added an assist in a 7-4 win on Saturday before picking up a pair of assists in a 3-2 victory on Sunday.
The Oles will be off until a 5 p.m. non-conference puck drop at Bethel University on Saturday, Jan. 3.
