BEND, Ore. – The St. Olaf College women's Nordic skiing team won its second consecutive event at the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships and the men's team finished third in the Classic Sprint on Wednesday at Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center.

Lily Hubanks and sophomore
Amae Kam-Magruder were the top-two individual finishers to lead the St. Olaf women to a first-place finish in the individual sprint for the fourth year in a row. First year
Liesl Cope-Schaeffer joined Kam-Magruder and Hubanks in the top four to give the Oles seven points in the team standings for a seven-point margin of victory ahead of the University of Wyoming. The first-place team finish was St. Olaf's 11th in the last 13 events at the USCSA National Championships.
For the men, first year
Paavo Rova landed on the podium for the second time in as many days, as Rova took third to lead the Oles to a third-place performance. Rova and classmate
Daniel Gladkov both secured their second consecutive All-America accolades, as St. Olaf compiled 29 points to finish six behind Wyoming and nine behind Paul Smith's College.
Kam-Magruder earned her second USCSA individual national title by edging Hubanks by just over two seconds in the A Final with a time of 4:35.2. Kam-Magruder and Hubanks were both nearly 15 seconds ahead of the rest of the field, as Hubanks picked up her 11th USCSA All-America accolade and Kam-Magruder her fifth.
Cope-Schaeffer and sophomore
Lily Ward also claimed All-America honors after advancing to one of the two finals. Cope-Schaeffer took fourth in the A Final (4:54.1), while Ward was third in the B Final (5:16.8) to place ninth overall.
Rova backed up a second-place finish in the 7.5K Freestyle with a third-place performance, finishing five seconds off the winning pace in the A Final in 3:42.6. Earlier in the day, Rova posted the top times in the qualifier (3:33.7) and quarterfinals (3:53.48) before placing second in his semifinal (3:50.72).
Gladkov improved one spot on his ninth-place finish on Tuesday by placing eighth (4:05.32) after taking second in the B Final. First years
Rudy Herold and
Lance Hastings finished 20th and 21st, respectively, after advancing to the quarterfinals.
After a day off on Thursday, the Nordic events will continue with the 15K Classic on Friday, March 14.
